Being in a hospital
doesn't mean giving up feeling like yourself.

Illness takes enough. A haircut, a shave, clean nails, a wig that finally sits right — the small things that hand someone back the person they were before the gown. byoutoyou brings them to the bedside, at any hospital in the country, through a professional who lives near it.

  • Background-checked pros
  • Hospital-etiquette trained
  • Infection-control kit per visit
  • Always cleared with the nurse
  • Local to the hospital, never flown in

Care that fits a hospital room

Short, gentle, low-noise treatments designed around IV lines, limited mobility and a nurse's schedule. Prices are flat — no travel fee.

Every service is performed with single-use or hospital-grade disinfected tools, and skipped if the care team says today is not the day.

How a visit happens

Four steps, usually under 24 hours from request to bedside.

  1. 1

    Find the hospital

Search by name, city or ZIP, or browse by state. We list every Medicare-certified hospital in the U.S.

  2. 2

    Tell us about the patient

Unit, room, mobility, and anything the pro should know — allergies, oxygen, isolation precautions.

  3. 3

We clear it with the unit

Our coordinator calls the nurses' station and confirms a window that works for the care team.

  4. 4

    The pro arrives

Photo ID, own kit, room left exactly as found. You are charged only after the visit is done.

The person who comes is from there

byoutoyou matches a patient only with a professional who already lives and works near that hospital. Nobody is assigned across a state line, and nobody is driven in from another region.

1

Matched by the hospital, not by you

The request is routed on the hospital's own ZIP code. Where you are when you book makes no difference — a daughter in Seattle books for a father in Miami, and a Miami professional takes the visit.

2

Inside a fixed travel radius

Every professional declares the area they serve, and only sees requests inside it. A visit outside that radius is not offered at a discount or a surcharge — it is simply not offered.

3

Where we are not live yet, we say so

A hospital with no local professional shows Waitlist instead of a booking button. You leave a request and we tell you when someone near that hospital joins — we will not cover it from elsewhere.

4

Your details stay with us

The professional is sent a hospital, a unit and a time window — not your phone number. Not to keep you apart: if you like them, book them again, here or anywhere else. We just do not hand a family's contact details to someone they have not met yet.

Are you a beauty or grooming professional?

Tell us your home ZIP code and how far you travel. You will only ever be offered visits inside that radius, at hospitals you can reach the same day.

Nobody has to file paperwork

A byoutoyou professional comes in the way any other visitor does — as the patient's guest, at a time the family arranged, with the nurse's nod. There is no vendor application, no compliance office, no waiting on a hospital to approve anything. That is the whole point: the family should not have to become an administrator to get their mother's hair washed.

  • We call the nurses' station and agree a window before anyone travels
  • Photo ID shown on arrival, and the unit's answer is final, every time
  • The professional carries their own licence and liability insurance
  • A one-page sheet you can hand the nurse, saying exactly what the visit is and is not

If you are a patient-experience or volunteer-services team and you would rather do this formally — a named vendor, insurance on file, scheduled units — we will happily set that up. Talk to us.
