Privacy Policy

The short version: we ask for the minimum a bedside visit needs, we do not want clinical information, what you type stays on your device until you send it, and we do not sell anything about you.

What we collect

• From families: your name, email and phone; the patient's first name; the hospital, unit and room; and anything you choose to write about mobility or precautions.
• From professionals: name, contact details, licence number and state, home ZIP code, travel radius, insurer name, and the pass/fail outcome of a background check. We hold one document — the certificate of insurance. We do not collect or store images of government ID, passports or Social Security cards; identity is verified by a licensed screening provider and, where payouts require it, by our payment processor.
• On the site: your saved hospitals, recent searches, draft requests and theme choice are stored in your browser's local storage, on your device. We do not receive them.
• Location: only if you tap "near me", only to sort hospitals by distance, and never stored on our servers.

What we do not want

Do not send medical records, diagnoses, test results or images. byoutoyou is not a healthcare provider and is not your hospital's business associate unless we have signed an agreement with that hospital. If you send clinical information anyway, we delete it.

What we do with it

Arrange and coordinate the visit, take payment, handle complaints, meet legal and tax obligations. Nothing else. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Who sees it

• The professional assigned to the visit, and only what the visit needs.
• The hospital unit, when we call to arrange access.
• Our payment processor, for the charge itself.

How long we keep it

Visit records for 7 years, because of tax and liability rules. Anything you never send stays on your device only.

Your rights

Ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: privacy@byoutoyou.com. California residents may exercise CCPA rights, including the right to know and to delete, without being charged a different price.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13. A visit for a paediatric patient is always arranged by an adult.
